Not at all. Both versions feature convenient installation - simply unscrew your current nib unit and screw in the Flex Pro for XV Batavia pens, or replace the entire grip section for StoneGraph pens. No special tools required.

Compatible with all standard fountain pen inks and you can also use a fountain pen ink cartridge.

The nib itself is standard #6 size and can technically be removed from our housing for use in other pens that accept #6 nibs. However, for optimal performance, we recommend using our complete nib unit with the pen it was designed for.
